When we first opened RONS Coffee House in August 2022, it was not my intention to use the cafe as a meeting place and hub for the spiritual community in Peckham (and beyond!)
After living in London for a about 4 years I was getting a bit fed up of having to traipse into central or some other remote corner of London to be with like minded people and share experiences. Why was there not something closer to home? Where were all the cunning folk, spiritually awakened and weirdos with the same ideas in South East London?!
So, after launching the cafe, getting hitched and settling into a new routine of having our own business, I decided, well, why not create that space if it's missing?
If its not there, create it!
Our cafe is situated inside an old Arcade, full of other small independent businesses, and to my surprise, 50% of the fellow tenants were like minded. They became engaged in talk about the supernatural and spiritual experiences they had encountered, tarot cards and crystals appeared out of pockets and handbags. Daily we were talking about universal and spiritual topics. People searching for 'alternative' workshops came from all over South East (and a few from beyond) London to meet with others, bring their friends and take part in the New Moon Circles I had set up. Slowly, but surely, my community was growing a little each month.

In December 2022, I was introduced to my now very dear friend Jess, to run a section in my Yule Circle, using the tarot to predict the year ahead. And my life has never been the same since! Jess has her own practise : Tia Xixa Tarot (@tiaxixatarot) and after we had finished the workshop section of the circle, Jess mentioned she had been looking for a place to hold regular Tarot Cafes. Well...why not have them here at RONS?
Not only has this bought more people through our doors to connect, share and learn, I have made a very dear and close friend. Introducing me to other practitioners and championing my practise. Pushing and encouraging me to get myself out there, so here I am, and here you are. (Thank you Jess).
Bibi's Circle has grown into 'circles', with different experiences and paths for people to explore their own journey. Every fortnight we have the Tarot Cafe and Spiritual Community Cafe (aka Witchy Wednesday), with each Celtic Wheel Holiday we gather in an intimate group, we make traditional crafts, set intention and share a meal and then smattered throughout the year are workshops that are put on usually by demand from our regulars! Welcome to Bibi's Circle, my door is always open, the tea is always brewing, my heart is always listening should you need to take refuge in my house.
